Nice to see I kept this updated ;D

Nothing major happening training wise.

Been cruisisng since the comp.

12 week training cycle after the comp yielded little gains in strength as i got pleurisy towards the end of it and was layed up for the best part of 2 weeks in bed. 2 weeks holiday and since then OX has been ounishing me in the gym. Added 5kg to squat and 5 kg to bench, deadlift didnt improve.

Not been an outright strength phase, looking at building a better base strength form which to build.

Its workded well and I will see an increase in my Maxes in the coming weeks, circa 245kg squat, 165kg bench and 260kg deadlift, about 35kg on my total in 6 months isnt to be sniffed at.

British finals in May and the plan is to hit  700kg+ total.

Will be blasting into this so its entirely possible. 600-700mg Test E weekly and a 4 week oral leading into the comp, not sure which yet.

Looking for 260kg squat, 180kg bench and 280kg deadlift, that would yield 720kg, ambitous but you go big or go home.

About 7 weeks after the Brits will be Europes and ill be going to that as well.

Going to be a tough 6 months but will be worth it.

TM.... Jenna Jameson... LOL that requires further explanation. Some cool ones there tho.

My Mrs would be well jealous of Gary Newman. A mate and I bumped in to Stephen Fry here in Cambridge once, my mate just gave it a "oh, alright, mate" like he knew him and carried on walking.

In the RAF again, Vegas in 1998 AVN awards were on, loads of us in the Mirage Casino bar and a load of the **** stars came into the bar for drinks and the after party.

Stood next to me at the bar, i tried to hit on her and failed ;D

Great looking van Toolmonkey. Did you convert yourself or buy it already done?

I looked at doing my own. Priced up all the bits to do it and it was about £3500 less than getting them to do it.

I value my spare time more so just payed them.

I picked the van from their list of vehicles and then specced it up to how I wanted.

I'm currently looking into putting solar panels onto my campervan, for when we want to not have to rely on electric hookup.

From what I've read online, you shouldn't need anywhere near 500W for just a stereo and some LED lights. 100W should be more than adequate. Looks pretty simple to set up as well. The expensive part will be the battery, a leisure battery should do the job, however I can't imagine the whole lot being much over £400. Definitely much better off than hooking up to the mains.

There are calculations to be done, you need to work out how much energy you will be using on average per day, which will tell you how big a battery you will need, and then you will be able to calculate what size panel you will need to keep the battery topped up. I'm not good with electronics so you are better off googling that one, but it looked fairly simple from what I've seen.

I put this on my van, works a treat.

Powers the fridge, lights, charges phones etc.

Even in rubbish british summer this kept us going without any issues for a week at a time.

More serious now than i ever have done.

My first proper comp win has given me a massive confidence boost, less doubting in my abiilities now and its showing in my training.

First goal is to get a well in to 700kg + total next year circa 300 dead, 260 squat, 180 bench are target numbers. Big goals but may as well go big.

Will be doing Eurpopes powerlifting next year after brits and then maybe another 2 years targetting worlds as the ultimate goal but that will require 800kg minimum total to really compete so well see what happens.

I know there were a few who collected or like there watches on MT.

Anybody here into their watches?

I started about 5 years ago, and its gone downhill since then, ever expanding collection.

Currently have

Tissot PRS 516
Hamilton Khaki Auto
Cerina DS Podium Chrono
Longines Hydro Conquest
Tudor Black Bay - bought used
Omega Seamaster - bought used

Just ordered an Oris Aquis Date with green face and bezel.

Next year will be Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch, used

Owned and sold over the years
Breitling Colt - Only wore it twice, bought on a whim
Tag F1 - Also bought on a whim, just didn't really like it after wearing it for a few weeks
Rado Hyperchrome - Just wore it less as I bought others

I'll try and keep this one up to date.

Journey so far.

Strongman 2015-2017 - I was rubbish at it

Most of late 2017 early 2018 out with health issues and injuries, needed a new challenge so decided on powerlifting.

Joined the BPU and entered a qualifier in Feb 2019, all prepped myself and came out with a modest but disappointing total of 580kg. 210kg squat, 147.5kg bench, 222.5kg deadlift.

Decided i need help if I'm going to go any further so joined team Ox and the results speak for themselves.

+45kg on my total in 10 weeks, with a dodgy bench too, cruising for most of that too with a 4 week mini blast leading into comp.

230kg squat, 150kg bench, 245kg deadlift, 1st place and British Champion Masters M1 110kg

Knuckling down now for a heavy off season and some gains.

No need to qualify for next years Brist as I automatically qualify.

Goal next year is Europes and numbers of 260kg squat, 180kg bench, 300kg deadlift.

Cruising all year and then a decent blast into comp prep in 2020, don't think those numbers are unrealistic.
