Here is my chart created with data from here...
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/datasets/weeklyprovisionalfiguresondeathsregisteredinenglandandwales

Sorry it is a bit scrappy, I did it on my phone.

Series 1 to 6 are 2020 to 2015 and series 7 is the 5 year average of 2015 to 2019.

I agree that Covid19 is without doubt being pinned on a lot of deaths incorrectly but how do people explain some of the clearer data.

Stats that show total deaths averaged for the last 5 years vs total deaths for this year which massively spike from around week 12 this year.

For me that data is a game changer it proves something pretty big has/is occurring. (Attachment Link)

Thats not a good way of showing the stats , they have averaged out 2015-2019

You could quite easily draw a similar graph of 2018 showing very similar results  , stick 2020 in the average for next year and any spikes get blended .

I'm guessing you haven't actually looked at the data for 2015 to 2019... The range over those years is shown by the grey area surrounding the 5 year average. Even if you compare this year to the highest of the previous 5 years (ie the top of the grey region), you cannot deny that there is a huge spike.

Some useful answers here so far.

For a moderately priced bottle, Johnnie Walker Black label is a good option. It won't break the bank, but is a decent whisky to drink neat.

You could get a small tasting set like this one:

https://www.houseofmalt.co.uk/product/regions-of-scotland-whisky-tasting-set/?gclid=CjwKCAiAlO7uBRANEiwA_vXQ-wtd9feyAe89sGTzq8jhjldMfkkYmMsf7KUdntEAqXJWQvU_J5FxOxoCvBsQAvD_BwE

It's terrible value for money but not much worse than an advent calender in terms of price per litre. However it would give you an idea of what whiskies from the different regions of Scotland taste like... They are very different!

As a Scot it pains me to recommend this one and it is on the pricey side given that it is a small bottle. But Nikka From the Barrel is a fantastic whisky.

https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/nikka-whisky-from-the-barrel/460553-353692-353693

My father and uncle are both whisky fans and they rate it highly. I've taken a bottle to share with friends where we all brought a couple of bottles and it was by far the quickest to disappear.

As a final caveat, if you plan to drink it straight, I'd avoid anything you see behind the bar in a basic pub (E.g. Bells, Grants or bourbons such as Jack Daniels, Jim Beam) but if you do plan to mix it, then you might as well buy something cheap as a mixer will mask the subtle flavours that you pay more for.

Can't say I'm happy with either...

Boris looks like he is lining himself up to be a national embarrassment.

I hated Hunt as Health Secretary but actually think he has done a good job since. I think he lacks compassion and is happy to ignore the human impact of decisions that might be best for the economy or the national debt... This might lead him to doing a good job on paper, but I can't but think that he will have a legacy like Margaret Thatcher if he has a long run as PM.

Derry girls has just gone up on Netflix for anyone who hasn't seen it. Really good comedy show.

I've only seen a couple of episodes, but agree with this. It was very funny!

2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 3), and my weekly shopping budget stretches to £90-100, so shouldn't be much over £400 a month usually. I only shop at Aldi or Lidl, its a massive price difference compared to ASDA and Tesco etc... Tend to cook everything from scratch, apart from the occasional frozen meal in the oven job for speed/easiness.

No nappies or baby food stuff now so that's made a big difference, I also don't buy much alchohol. I make sure the Mrs has a bottle of gin so one of those a month is usually enough. I don't buy myself loads of beer though, I'll buy a couple of cans/bottles of ale just for the weekend if I fancy it.

That's pretty much the same as me. I spend around £90 a week in Aldi which covers most of the food for 2 adults, a child and a 1 year old.

We probably also spend £100 or so across the month on top ups from tesco, waitrose or the occasional trip to the butchers.

Tesco is much more convenient and there are times when aldis shelves are bare so occasionally we do our weeks shop there and I reckon a £90 Aldi shop would come in at £120 is tesco!

Your lawn and hedge reminds me that I forgot to add general DIY and house/garden maintenance to my list of "hobbies". I do quite enjoy it mind you.

It was a father's day special. Had loads in my aldi on Saturday, but imagine they went pretty quick.

Between kids and work I don't have much time to pursue any real hobbies.

However, I really enjoy cooking, both rustling up quick and tasty meals during the week and making an effort at the weekend. I managed to reach my 30s without ever having to cook regularly but when I moved in with my now wife cooking became my responsibility and I love it!

I'm also into craft beer, but am in two minds about whether I prefer trying new beers or enjoying the ones I know I like. Expensive and unhealthy hobby... but never mind.

I'd go to the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh and have their tasting menu with matched wines. Been there a couple of times and it is just mind blowing. I'd have a beer or two beforehand and some whisky afterwards too.

I enjoyed breaking bad but got bored before the end. I regularly stayed up far too late watching another then another episode on the first few seasons, but by the end I felt like I was just watching it to get to the end and stopped a season or two from the end.

Don't take that as a negative review though, think it is just my tendency to get bored of a program after too many series.

I enjoyed the Breaking Bad spin off, Better Call Saul.

I've just watched the first series of Bosch on prime. I quite liked that! Not decided if I will watch season 2 yet. I do like the fact that it rounds itself off reasonably nicely, which is something that has annoyed me with other series. I feel cheated if I spend 10 hours watching something and don't get a decent ending and just a cliffhanger for the next season.

On a totally different note, I've watched a few series of All Or Nothing. It's a documentary following sports teams throughout the course of the season. I thought the 3 NFL series were good and I've just started watching one following Man City.
