General Discussion / Re: Everyone getting the vaccine?

Thanks for the posts chaps. Very interesting.

Taking a step back and looking at it all, what do you think...

1. What can be done to stop it all?

2. Will this great movement actually be stopped?

3. How will it all end?

Again, I'm interested in your opinions. My thoughts are constantly changing on a daily basis.

Thanks Doc.

Interesting points.

Who is behind all of this then? A collective group? A few people?

I'm not trying to wind anyone up here by the way, simply very interested in all points of view.

Chaps, to break this current situation down into bullet points, what are you saying?

This thread has expanded with a lot of posts and content, so a breakdown of your current beliefs would be good.

That doesn't sound like much fun, buddy. Good to see you are back on the game again.... I mean in the game

Back in and on the game... So far so good too.

Slowly building.

I can't complain.

Still life in this old dog yet.

Well, the last year has been a spanner in the works for most hasn't it...

In brief, I'm still alive and survived a hospital staycation due to a severe case of diverticulitis.

However, I'm lifting again and happy to be back in the game.

My wife purchased some a while ago without telling me, and like most things, it just sat there going unused.

Well, I decided to start using it before bed... Dosage of suggestion was a few drops, but I was pretty much having a half of the dropper per hit.

The initial feeling was a tingly little head rush... Pleasant.  Placebo effect is that I think I'm sleeping better.

Overall, I feel no worse for using it.

Hi All! Long time no post! Hope you’re all well!  Thought I’d put an update on

After my heart scare last year, had a couple months of getting well.. things then took a downward spiral. I developed a blood issue caused by lack of oxygen. My breathing deteriorated and I was put on a machine to help me breathe at night. Still on it.  I developed massive chronic fatigue, couldn’t even get out bed for a while which was horrible!

health started to slowly improve and I was able to move again mainly walking..  but.. as you know me and my stupid clumsyness, I injured my Achilles quite badly and I was walking with a stick for about 4 months.  Things have started to get better this year I’ve been back “lifting” for about 2 months now, once or twice a week and nothing at all like I used to. Some days it’s just dumbbell curls and Tricep Pressdowns! Motivation has been low and I just can’t get that oompf I had back.

I’m considering getting a gym membership once all the restrictions have lifted, I think a gym environment would do me good especially for motivation, we’ll see.

Take care all!

Sending you love, strength, good vibes and good health brother!

I watched the whole podcast the day after it came out, and that's what made me put on my serious thinking pants for sure.

This Sunday just gone, I took a stroll to my local supermarket and it was carnage... Much like that vibe 2 days before Christmas when everyone is fighting over sprouts and spuds!

The shop was rammed, trolley barging chaos, and the shelves devoid of pasta, rice, bread etc... I won't mention toilet roll either.

I did my shop and left feeling violated, but then suddenly thought on my walk home, might as well stock up on Huel to line JC's pockets and actually have something handy and healthy knocking about to tide me over.

How is everyone feeling about this now?

Concerned yet?

Worried yet?

Full on stockpiling yet?

Thank you chaps.

I have to admit, it does feel good to be back, and I'm enjoying training again!

I hit a great session this morning, and I'm making weekly improvements in my reps and weights, which is a nice boost. I already feel like I'm growing, which is probably down to smashing carbs into my diet again around training. Need to get the tape measure out and take note of these gains.

Hey, newb, good to see you back. The joy with hypertrophy is hat no exercise is essential so you can pick you pain free lifts and get the job done

Exactly!

Lots of isolation stuff, and plenty of options.

I imagine I'll be called the new Dorian Yates in 6 months time.

Good morning all, and a belated Happy New Year!!!

I hope you're all good and making gains, while being jacked and tan.

I thought it was time for a little update from me...

I'm still alive, and actually training again with consistency. I manged to train 3 times a week for the whole of Jan, and started to make some psoitive progress with fitness and strength returning, and even hot a little PB of 250kg x 10 on the belt squat.

Things went a bit off track after this due to my old SI joint issues flaring up... I put this down to most likely to playing 5 a side football, and not focusing on my mobility and stretching. 110kg stomping around a hard indoor court was not helping, and there has been some discomfort since.

As a result, I've changed my training to more of a hypertrophy approach, and going old school bodybuilding for the foreseeable future. I'm going to focus on the things I can do pain free, instead of the lifts that cause me pain (Deads & Squats).

No posting trunks yet mind, but hopefully something fun, and of course, some gains would be nice.

Just seen this, and pretty shocked!

I always had BP down as a well run ship, but it seems someone in the marketing team and then legal team are dropping the protein balls here.
