General Discussion / Ditching Sky for Freeview
« on: 19, March, 2020, 08:26:09 am »
Has anyone done this Nd found a good freeview bow? The only thing I really like about Sky is the Sky Q box. Apart from Sky Atalantic I pretty much only watch the freeview channels. Are there any Freeview boxes people recommend for recording things and using Netflix? Last time I used Freeview the boxes were crap and trying to get a decent signal was a nightmare.

If it's only dangerous to the elderly or people with existing conditions, wouldn't it be easier to give it to everyone that's healthy on purpose, they self isolate for 2 weeks, then boom, 90% of the country is immune? I mean, It seems like it's only a matter of time till we all get it anyway, so why string it out and bring everything to a standstill?

Those stats are based on early  people being infected with a health system being able to cope with a small number , in countries where the health system has broken down the younger people are now dying as well  , if you need ICU you have a 50/50 chance of survival  and there is also reports of people being reinfected. More is being learned every day.

Not saying that guy is wrong, but he just seems like some random youtuber/conspiracy theorist. All his sources are from the same Thailandmedicalnews website too.

I know Nytol and Kalms have never done a thing to help me sleep. I rven tried taking 4 Nytol tablets, and I still didn't get a wink of sleep.

It probably depends on the reason you cant sleep. For me, when I have trouble it's because I cant switch my brain off and just keep having things running through my mind.

I dont know enough about it to know one way or the other, but why is it usually some guy living in his mums basement that has all the facts about how all these things are a conspiracy and not the likes of the Russian government, who would love nothing more than to disprove the moon landings and that the U.S government did 9/11 etc?

Diet & Nutrition / Re: Tracking & Methods Used
« on: 31, July, 2019, 22:36:39 pm »
Im really anal about tracking stuff. Ive got a nearly 1400 day streak on Myfittnesspal. I track everything including when I eat ****. I also wear a garmin watch to track movement and wear a separate more accurate HR monitor at the gym. My day to day activity can vary so drastically that I prefer to do it like this just to give me a consistent idea of calories in/out.

My biggest problem is having too big a deficit that its unsustainable just because im so active. Im eating about 3000 to 3500 calories a day on a cut now at 90kg.

I think its real and that we are contributing. I think there are easier ways to increase taxes than a worldwide climate conspiracy

Just discovered this fella and have disappeared down the rabbit hole.
He goes round all the Soviet states (so far anyway). Amazing the way some people live, and so different from us in many places. In many ways they probably prefer it, there’s certainly much more of a sense of community in most of them.

Chris has even commented saying that it's not bullying, that he gives just as good as he gets and it' just 3 blokes having a laugh at the end of the day. Snowflakes on social media just being whinge bags as usual.

No one complained when Clarkson and May were calling Hammond a hamster were they?

Gotta say though, I'm loving this latest series of TG, it's the first one in years where I've actually been laughing out loud at the banter they are having, scripted it may well be, but it's working for me so far.

I agree, they seem less scripted then any of the previous hosts, including Clarkson etc. I'm really enjoying it.

What people are saying that? Is this some behinds the scenes expose, or casual viewers? It is still scripted/prompted so any p!ss taking and so called bullying is just acted out banter

If you search TopGear on twitter, its what loads of people are saying. Infact, before you even finish typing it, 'Top gear bullying' pops up.
