I'm doing grand... dealing with a teenage son now and 3 year old (step) grand son that has whole sh!t load of back story drama to it LOL I've managed to maintain gym access throughout lockdown which has helped (work gym that I was allowed to use) but recently also shed about 15kg of unnecessary weight, feeling good for it.

Your own business... What field? I bet you miss travelling, my mrs is waiting for a new hip and while we wait and she can't walk our holiday plans have been on hold anyway, but the longer this goes on the longer she'll be waiting for her op.

It's been a while, but you've kept the 'Y' in your name, which just make me feel even more.. 'O' LOL

A man of your word, Dylan, much appreciated.

No problem, good sir!

You'll like her business... I won't ruin the surprise though!

I know we may be all be a distant past now but please pass on my best wishes and say Hi.

Will do, mate.

Hope you're all are well.

As per the title, I accidentally closed a load of tabs on my S9 smartphone. Can't find a way of restoring them

There is an option to 'view recent tabs' but that only lists tabs I've opened SINCE deleting the tabs I want to restore.

Any known workaround?

Many thanks

I'd like to think YIB is doing well now and was able to move on after Dave's passing. I know she got hit very hard by it

She seems to be well, mate.
She and I exchange messages once in a while. Last I heard from her was about the time lockdown started/March-April and she seemed in good spirits.

Yes, I was thinking of Drab recently.
Also, it's close to 3 years since Jules J left us. Three members I regularly chatted to in the 'old days'...

What would I need to have a speaker that will play anything I ask?
Presumably something like Alexa with Amazon Music? Or Google Screen with Spotify?
Help appreciated!

I just thought I'd post a brief message since it's 6 long years since one of my closest friends, and longtime MT member, T Dawg Jack left us.
Think of you so very regularly, Jack.
God speed, brother.

General Discussion / Best basic smart speaker
« on: 19, April, 2020, 17:01:42 pm »
Hello all,

My parents have a Siri speaker which enables them to play pretty much any music they want. I think they pay £9.99 a month. I'm interested in getting something similar but I use Samsumg not Apple iPhone.
So my question: is there an equivalent I can use? I'm only wanting it to play music by voice command, ie "play Smooth Radio" etc.
Many thanks!

Northumberland is lovely. Such an under rated part of our country IMO.....or the best kept secret LOL
Unfortunately 'hidden Northumberland' is no longer hidden. Lots of tourists now, especially in the coastal towns and villages.

General Discussion / Playing vídeos from an iPhone on Sony TV
« on: 07, April, 2020, 19:26:36 pm »
Hi all.
My dad has an iPhone 10 and a new Sony smart TV.
We can't get the iphone to mirror with the TV though my Samsung S9 did no problem (I'm guessing because both are Android).
Is there any software my dad can install on either his iphone or his TV to enable him to watch videos from his iphone on the TV? Thanks in advance!

I live in Chorley, Lancs but have a lodge in the Lakes near Bowness so go up there pretty often.....although not at the moment :-( The good thing is many places are dog friendly, you'd be spoilt for choice!!

Bowness is my favourite place in the Lakes.
I must make more effort to go over!
We tend to stay in Northumberland and occasionally down to N Yorks.

Hello, I pop in occasionally. Good to see you here.
Great to see you here, kitty. You're the one who recommended Lhasa Apsos to me! And here I'm sitting with Bella 8 years later!

Oh I was going to ask how you were getting on, that's lovely to hear. We are now with just 2 of our pups after losing one 2.5 yrs ago. Hubbie wants two more but no way as it will be down to me to sort everything out and walk them etc LOL. He can wait until he retires!!

Sorry to learn.about your loss, kitty.
Yes, maybe wait until the hubby retires!
On a related note, am I correct in thinking you're based in the Cumbria/Lakes area? I'm looking at expanding my outings with Bella and going over to the Lakes with her for days out.
Any recommendations appreciated!

General Discussion / Re: Ditching Sky for Freeview
« on: 23, March, 2020, 13:10:11 pm »
I'm the same, Dazz. Other than Sky Atlantic and Universal I pretty much only watch Freeview channels.
Obviously Freeview is built into most TVs these days, but the thing missing is the option to record and pause live TV etc.
